Leamington Road Villas W2

4C have worked with three separate building owners across a terrace of three villas in Notting Hill to obtain planning consent for the extension and mansard roof formation to the properties. Working closely with Westminster City Council and the conservation area team 4C has won a valuable consent to extend all the properties whilst in compliance with the local authority Special Policy Guidance on mansard roof extensions.

St Margaret’s Church

4C were selected at competition by the church community in Finchley for the redevelopment of the multi-use community building. 4C undertook a sensitive redevelopment of the redundant community church and introduced new amenities and multi-use spaces with large scale extensions and interventions to the historic building. The realised building has many public areas that can be separated and combined to allow community functions, gatherings and celebrations.

St Paul’s Church

The London United Reform Church commissioned 4C to bring back the derelict community building into use, off Westbourne Grove, serving the Notting Hill community. 4C have adapted the historic Arts and Crafts building to allow worship and community gatherings.

Westbourne Park Road W11

SUSD were successful in acquiring this dilapidated Notting Hill terraced villa and appointed 4C to create the architectural restoration and conversion, creating three individual apartments for sale.

The Grotto

At the Grade II Listed country house and grounds in Pangbourne close to Basildon Park 4C obtained planning and Listed Building consent to bring the derelict house back into use as a 68 bed private members club and hotel. Consent was granted for an new spa building, new cabin accommodations and two new private homes on the banks of the River Thames.

Tesco Portobello Road

4C worked for Tesco in bringing forward a redevelopment of one of their busiest local stores on Portobello Road, in the heart of Notting Hill. 4C created a design for a mixed-use development celebrating the eclectic and colourful facades in Notting Hill and along the Portobello Road, winning support from RBKC planning authority.

Curtain Club

SUSD was the developer of the 120 bed Curtain Club and Hotel and 4C were appointed as design manager and architectural consultant. We worked in collaboration with Dextor Moren and DMU interior designers, obtaining planning consent for the new-build development, incorporating nearly 40,000sqft of members areas, co-working space, Red Rooster restaurant and rooftop pool. The development was successfully sold to Reuben Brothers for £100m.

Stroud

SUSD ltd developed a highly sustainable new dwelling in the Cotswolds and commissioned 4C to provide the architectural design, cutting the new house into the hillside overlooking Stroud. The Cotswold stone building is a new-build 4 bedroom home, stepped to allow the residents to enjoy bedrooms on the upper floor overlooking the valley and with the living areas access the terraced garden areas.
